Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and direct complex mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion, serving as lead engineer for mid- to large-size projects.
  • •Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate technical assignments for unique or controversial problems, working with minimal supervision.
  • •Manage group activities by coordinating engineers and/or technicians, mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
  • •Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients; present complex technical solutions and provide specialized technical input for studies and design.
  • •Conduct quality control reviews, approve and sign off work, participate in technical proposals, and provide engineering budget and schedule estimates.

Key Requirements

  • •Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • •Minimum 10 years of healthcare-sector experience, such as design of hospitals or medical care facilities and related buildings, with a proven track record in project management.
  • •Hands-on experience in hospital or medical centre projects including ACMV, fire protection and detection, medical gas systems, and cold/hot water plus sanitary plumbing and drainage.
  • •Registered with the Board of Engineers (BEM) and preferably a Professional Engineer with Practice Certification status.
  • •Proficiency using BIM (including 3D, 4D, 5D, 6D and LOD 200–400) and engineering software such as Elite, HAP, E20, and Pipeflow.
