Job Summary

Establish governance and controls over corporate tax reporting and compliance, including defining SLAs for teams that provide tax data and documentation. Lead VAT optimization processes and perform tax compliance reviews covering taxes withheld, tax controls, and current/deferred tax figures under IFRS. Provide day-to-day tax advisory, support subsidiaries’ tax reporting and effective tax rate analysis, manage external auditor requirements, and support regulator tax audits.

Key Responsibilities

•Establish governance and controls for corporate tax reporting and compliance, including defining and maintaining SLAs for tax filings and reporting.
•Prepare and submit tax compliance and optimization activities for the bank, including VAT and other compliance matters.
•Conduct tax compliance reviews for taxes withheld, tax controls, and current/deferred tax figures.
•Provide tax advisory on daily tax compliance matters and support analyses for subsidiaries (deferred/current tax, effective tax rate, IFRS corporate tax reporting).
•Support the Deputy Tax Director and Head of Tax on tax matters and special projects, manage external auditor requirements, and prepare information for regulator tax audits.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (required).
•5+ years of experience in corporate tax reporting, determining deferred tax under IFRS, and tax compliance obligations, preferably in financial institutions or Big Four firms.
•Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
•Analytical skills, including the ability to understand complex tax documentation.
•Basic to intermediate Excel/data analysis skills (e.g., pivot tables, formulas).
