Job Summary

Lead HV/EHV cable engineering programs as SME and technical authority across onshore/offshore Transmission & Distribution projects. Drive governance, design assurance, and risk management; set design philosophies for HV cable systems, ensure IEC/CIGRE compliance, engage senior client stakeholders, and coordinate subcontractors and remote delivery teams to deliver complex infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

•Act as the technical authority / SME for HV and EHV cable systems (HVAC & HVDC) across onshore and offshore projects.
•Provide strategic technical leadership and governance across multi-disciplinary delivery teams, ensuring engineering solutions meet client, contractual, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
•Lead technical assurance activities, including design reviews, peer reviews, technical approvals, and independent checking of HV cable system designs.
•Own and drive technical risk management, ensuring early identification, clear communication, and effective mitigation of cable-related risks.
•Define and oversee HV cable system design philosophies, including ratings, installation methods, bonding systems, earthing, and system integration.

Key Requirements

•CDAE – Certified Design Authority Engineer (mandatory)
•Degree in Electrical / Power Engineering or equivalent
•Extensive experience in HV/EHV cable engineering (design, manufacture, testing, installation, commissioning)
•Strong expertise in HVAC and HVDC cable systems (onshore and offshore)
•Experience as technical authority / SME with governance and assurance on complex T&D projects
