•Modernize and refactor a legacy application using Spring Boot, Cloud, and modern Java, replacing legacy components with modular, testable code.
•Design microservices architecture by breaking monoliths into loosely coupled modules with REST and event-driven communication patterns.
•Integrate with existing EPA systems, databases, and APIs to ensure data consistency and regulatory compliance.
•Implement and enforce security best practices including authentication, authorization, and data protection.
•Develop and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.

•Working knowledge of testing tools (Junit/Mockito), Git/GitHub, and API tooling (Bruno, OpenAPI/Swagger); US citizenship required.
