Job Summary

Lead maintenance planning and scheduling for a heavy manufacturing plant to improve equipment reliability, maximize planned work, and reduce unplanned downtime. You’ll set planning standards, drive weekly and daily scheduling with operations and maintenance, manage backlog and schedule compliance, and oversee shutdowns/turnarounds. Partner with reliability, engineering, and supply chain while ensuring CMMS data quality, spare parts readiness, and a strong safety culture through permits and risk controls.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the site maintenance planning and scheduling team to prioritize, plan, and execute work with quality and efficiency.
•Develop and continuously improve planning and scheduling processes for preventive, predictive, corrective, and shutdown maintenance.
•Establish planning standards for job scoping, labor/material estimates, tools/permits, sequencing, and work package quality.
•Drive weekly and daily scheduling routines with operations and maintenance teams to balance production needs, asset risk, and available resources.
•Oversee major shutdowns/turnarounds/outages, including scope development, critical path coordination, contractor planning, and post-outage review.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, maintenance management, or a related technical field (equivalent industrial experience considered).
•Typically 7–10 years of progressive maintenance experience in heavy manufacturing or similarly asset-intensive operations.
•Demonstrated leadership experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, shutdown coordination, or reliability management.
•Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation maintenance practices in a production environment.
•Proficiency with CMMS platforms (e.g., ORACLE, SAP PM, IBM Maximo) and experience with preventive/predictive maintenance and failure analysis.
