Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct thorough inspections of lumber and wood products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • •Perform tests to check for defects, moisture content, and other quality indicators.
  • •Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality issues.
  • •Ensure products comply with industry standards and company specifications; identify and report issues.
  • •Recommend and assist with process improvements and corrective actions in collaboration with production staff.

Key Requirements

  • •Previous quality control experience, preferably in a sawmill or wood products industry.
  • •High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in quality control is a plus.
  • •Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot defects and quality issues.
  • •Understanding of wood products, grading standards, and quality control processes.
  • •Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.
