Key Responsibilities

  • •Install building automation systems, including temperature control systems and wiring/end devices, using hand tools and interpreting control drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • •Prepare for on-site installation by examining building layouts, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating with other trades as needed.
  • •Serve as direct customer contact by servicing products and equipment, diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customers’ locations to ensure satisfaction.
  • •Maintain inventory, company equipment, vehicles, and tools, including documenting stock levels and service/manual records.
  • •Complete job paperwork (daily time, progress, duration) and enforce safety standards while meeting regular travel requirements with occasional overnight stays.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent, typically 2-5 years of experience in HVAC/Controls; technical school or formal training preferred.
  • •Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
  • •Knowledge of low voltage electricity, electronics troubleshooting, direct digital controls, and building control techniques.
  • •Current or future participation in an ABC electrical apprenticeship program is desired.
  • •Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major/frequent traffic violations (including DUI, hit & run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, or preventable collisions) in the previous 3 years.
