Key Responsibilities

  • •Demonstrate, provide instruction, and guide physical training, exercises, movements, and injury avoidance.
  • •Design, administer, evaluate, and document effects of physical training protocols for SOF personnel across garrison, TDY/TAD, or deployed settings.
  • •Coordinate with Human Performance staff to ensure safe and expeditious return to training for personnel recovering from injury.
  • •Refer personnel with apparent new or undiagnosed medical conditions to medical providers for evaluation and treatment.
  • •Collaborate with sports medicine/bridge coordinator and performance nutrition/cognitive performance resources to transition rehabilitation to performance activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in an accredited exercise science, health science, or physical education-related discipline and maintain current NSCA certification (CSCS or SCCC through CSCCA).
  • •Minimum 3 years of demonstrable experience as a Strength and Conditioning Coach working with individual and group athletes (e.g., NCAA Division I, Olympic, professional sports, USAF CRAFT/SWTW, or SOF operators).
  • •Current certification in basic CPR including AED training.
  • •Ability to physically perform prescribed exercises/techniques and meet physical demands, including hiking over rough terrain and functioning in austere environments.
  • •Clearance eligibility: Secret or Top-Secret clearance, or ability to obtain clearance.
