Key Responsibilities

  • •Analyze and optimize performance of the core ClickHouse database, including query optimization and distributed query optimization.
  • •Extend and add performance tests using real-world or synthetic datasets to prevent performance deterioration.
  • •Help debug advanced performance issues for the Support Engineering team and provide performance test support and advice.
  • •Collaborate closely with other core teams to assess performance impact of new features.
  • •Engage with the open-source community by resolving issues, reviewing and finishing PRs, and answering questions across channels.

Key Requirements

  • •Solid professional software development experience in C++ with Unix Systems experience.
  • •Strong knowledge of database internals and design.
