Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver and unload concrete to customer job sites safely and efficiently, following dispatch instructions and applicable laws.
  • •Maintain communication with the dispatcher/plant supervisor, review delivery tickets for special instructions, and complete required ticket details/signatures.
  • •Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or repair issues.
  • •Keep the truck and work area clean, including rinsing the drum before and after deliveries, and perform related truck/plant cleaning and yard work as assigned.
  • •Collect money from customers, record transactions on receipts, and respond to basic customer questions related to product knowledge and concrete instructions.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a valid minimum Class B CDL, or complete training and pass the CDL exam to obtain CDL licensure.
  • •Maintain a valid DOT medical card and a state-issued commercial driver license (or acquire and maintain them after training).
  • •Use PPE as directed and comply with OSHA and USDOT/FMCSA safe-operating practices.
  • •Be able to read and follow safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, and complete delivery/ticket documentation.
  • •Be willing to work nights and weekends as required and maintain timely, regular attendance.
