Key Responsibilities

  • •Contact policyholders and conduct investigations by interviewing insureds and witnesses and inspecting damage.
  • •Prepare estimates, evaluate coverage and total claim value, and determine payment/denial actions within designated authority.
  • •Set and maintain adequate reserves; obtain and review reports, statements, and records needed for claim evaluation.
  • •Document claim files and submit final reports for closure.
  • •Service assigned territory and bring claims to conclusion; identify subrogation situations and initiate appropriate action, and coordinate or negotiate for litigated claims as required.

Key Requirements

  • •For Property Adjuster Trainee: high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • •For Property Adjuster I: high school diploma/GED plus two years of claims handling experience (or equivalent via ERIE education).
  • •For Property Adjuster II: high school diploma/GED plus five years of claims handling experience (or equivalent via degree plus experience).
  • •Willingness to pursue and complete Technical Learning Center Training and to obtain/maintain required licenses.
