Job Summary

Join Boeing Defense, Space & Security to design and develop satellite systems for space-based applications across commercial, civil, and national security programs. As an Associate Satellite Systems Engineer, you’ll help with interdisciplinary analyses, requirements, design/development support, and verification across a lifecycle-balanced system of systems. You’ll assist with trade studies covering performance, architecture optimization, and mission assurance factors such as safety, reliability, survivability, and security.

•Assist with analyses, design, development, requirements, and verification for a lifecycle-balanced system of systems and system solutions.
•Evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and ensure interface compatibility.
•Support analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
•Contribute to analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory/certification, and product assurance to ensure mission success.

Key Requirements

•Obtain a U.S. Security Clearance requiring U.S. Citizenship; final U.S. Secret clearance post-start is required.
•Bachelor of Science degree in engineering/engineering technology (including manufacturing technology), computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (or non-US equivalent directly related to the work).
•2+ years of engineering work experience, or successfully graduated with a Masters Degree.
•Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
•Experience working with space hardware and/or internship experience demonstrating engineering principles; strong technical writing and communication skills (preferred).
