Job Summary

Support the development and release of an advanced structural optimization tool in the PME Civil & Structures team. The role combines finite element method (FEM) analysis with machine learning to improve structural design efficiency and reduce weight, cost, and lead time. You’ll enhance and integrate the tool with engineering platforms (e.g., IDEA StatiCa, Tekla, Caesar Structures, AVEVA), develop engineering use cases, and assist with cloud migration, testing, and DEV release preparation.

Key Responsibilities

•Support completion, validation, and release of an advanced structural optimization tool that combines FEM analysis with machine learning algorithms.
•Enhance and integrate the tool by adding features, improving performance, and building interfaces with other engineering tools.
•Develop advanced use-case modules for land transport and lifting analysis, implementing engineering constraints and real-case scenarios.
•Validate tool performance against practical applications and benchmark cases.
•Assist with digital deployment by supporting migration to cloud environments and helping with DEV release preparation, testing, and user-ready deployment readiness.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: EUR 600 - 1,000 monthly

Key Requirements

•Master’s degree in Engineering.
•Basic knowledge of structural mechanics, including stress/strain analysis, structural behavior and load paths, and fundamentals of the Finite Element Method (FEM).
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Interest in engineering tool development and digital workflows, with exposure to AI/machine learning concepts preferred.
•Be able to legally work in the country in which you are applying, without company sponsorship or time restrictions.
