Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as the technical subject matter expert and highest-level technical authority for the panelboard and switchboard product lines.
  • •Define strategic direction and priorities, and indirectly lead site teams to achieve division objectives.
  • •Drive innovation and next-generation products through feasibility studies, mentoring, and ongoing consultation across the organization.
  • •Ensure product compliance to UL/CSA standards and supervise file maintenance; support compliance-related activities (e.g., third-party invoices and proposals impact).
  • •Monitor and engage in codes and standards organizations (e.g., UL, NEC, CSA, NEMA, CANENA) and ensure safe testing execution and VN resolution across plants.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 10–15 years’ product design experience in power distribution equipment with subject matter expertise in designing products that conform to UL standards (e.g., UL 50, UL 67, UL 891).
  • •Proficiency with engineering software/tools including AutoCAD and Enovia.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • •Experience as a technical design expert for liability/legal assessments and/or as chairman of a UL standards committee (preferred).
  • •Certification for Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and other standards/compliance expertise (preferred).
