Job Summary

Operate snack packaging machinery safely and continuously under general supervision. Read production schedules, interpret them in MicroStrategy, print labels using the correct printer programs, and run efficient changeovers with low waste. Monitor codes, dates, prices, weights, and product quality, perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, and make required scale/calibration adjustments. Maintain required shift documentation, keep work areas clean, and follow safety and hygiene procedures.

•Operate snack packaging machinery safely and continuously, including setups, troubleshooting, changeovers, sanitation cleanup, and preventive maintenance.
•Maintain shift documentation (e.g., Metal Detector and Batch Order Verifications) and keep materials/roll stock available for each machine.
•Read and interpret the production schedule, print labels using correct printer programs, and set up/write new programs for bag makers.
•Monitor and adjust machine operations to ensure proper cut-off, seals, standard speeds, weight control, and product appearance; resolve quality issues and handle rework.
•Perform equipment inspections and adjustments including nitrogen testing, scale span calibration/adjustments, and minor repairs; report maintenance problems and injuries.
