Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on trucks and trailers in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair a range of truck and trailer systems including electrical/brake/cooling systems, engines, transmissions, steering, HVAC, liftgates, brakes, and air lines.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, including road testing vehicles as needed.
  • •Maintain and reconcile parts inventory on a company-issued service truck; perform periodic safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair documentation on Repair Orders (RO), upload photos of work performed, and communicate with management/support as required.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as a related degree/certification or 5 years of experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform the job duties.
  • •Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current valid DOT medical card with more than four months remaining).
  • •Be at least 21 years or older and hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license; maintain a Driver Qualification File and meet MVR review requirements.
