Job Summary

Operate heavy equipment used for groundwork and construction projects safely and efficiently. Follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA safety procedures, complete daily pre- and post-inspections with documentation, and perform minor equipment servicing and maintenance. Coordinate daily tasks with the foreman and report issues to supervisors. Assist in training less-experienced employees and maintain regular, predictable attendance.

•Operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights safely and efficiently.
•Follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
•Perform daily pre- and post-inspections with required documentation and complete minor servicing/maintenance; refer major problems to supervisors.
•Follow direction of the foreman regarding daily tasks and expectations for each project or jobsite and report problems to appropriate leaders.
•Assist in training less-experienced employees and maintain regular, predictable attendance at assigned times.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED preferred.
•1-2 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Must be 18 years or older.
•Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
•Must possess a valid DOT Medical Card and maintain a current driver’s license (CDL, Class A and/or B) with possible hazmat and tanker endorsements.
