Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure safe and effective functioning of all patient care equipment and oversee installation/commissioning of new medical equipment.
  • •Attend breakdown calls, perform repairs, and provide 24/7 on-call support for medical equipment emergencies.
  • •Maintain preventive maintenance and calibration schedules to ensure equipment performance, patient safety, and accurate results.
  • •Manage service maintenance activities including budgeting, AMC/CMC decisions, spares/consumables ordering, and procurement requisitions.
  • •Support quality and safety compliance (regulatory/accreditation, OSH, infection control, clinical audits) and provide end-user operating training.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree in Bio-Medical Engineering.
  • •3 to 5 years’ experience in a hospital set up.
  • •Ability to perform skilled preventive maintenance tasks on patient-connected medical equipment (e.g., defibrillators, monitors, incubators, infusion pumps).
  • •Fluent spoken and written English; spoken Arabic is advantageous but not essential.
  • •Comply with OSH, infection control, and related safety/quality procedures.
