Job Summary

Lead the architecture, strategy, governance, and evolution of the bank’s enterprise data platform. Define target-state roadmaps and standards across Databricks Lakehouse, Azure, Kafka, Informatica, and Power BI, while driving scalability, resilience, observability, performance, and cost optimization. Embed data governance, lineage, privacy, security controls, and compliance with UAE regulations. Own integration and streaming architecture and enable trusted AI/ML and advanced analytics through AI-ready data foundations.

Key Responsibilities

•Define and maintain the enterprise data platform target-state architecture and roadmap, including standards, reusable patterns, and reference architectures.
•Own platform architecture standards across Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory, Confluent Kafka, Informatica/IICS, metadata, and data quality services.
•Drive scalability, resilience, observability, performance, and cost optimization, including engineering standards, automation frameworks, CI/CD, and operating models.
•Embed governance, lineage, metadata, quality, retention, access control, encryption, masking, and privacy-by-design; ensure compliance with UAE PDPL, CBUAE regulations, and audit requirements.
•Define integration standards for batch, real-time, and event-driven architectures using Kafka, CDC, APIs, and ETL/ELT; eliminate uncontrolled point-to-point integrations while enabling AI/ML-ready foundations.

Key Requirements

•12+ years of experience across data architecture, data platform architecture, solution architecture, or enterprise architecture.
•At least 5 years leading enterprise-scale data platform transformation initiatives.
•Strong experience in Banking or Financial Services environments.
•Proven delivery of Databricks-based Lakehouse architectures and AI-enabled data platforms.
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, data science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
