Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the full project lifecycle from requirements and concept design through hardware/software engineering, simulation, testing, and commissioning.
  • •Lead project engineering for high-current generator excitation or relevant electrical power systems, supporting detailed design, manufacturing support, FAT, installation, and commissioning.
  • •Develop bus work and mechanical layouts including routing, dimensions, clearances, creepage, supports, bend/joint details, thermal performance, short-circuit withstand, accessibility, and manufacturability.
  • •Create and review general arrangement drawings, cabinet layouts, bus bar drawings, fabrication/assembly details, BOMs, wiring interfaces, and manufacturing documentation.
  • •Coordinate with electrical design, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and system integrators; support design release and manufacturing quality checks and resolve field/site installation issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • •8 to 16 years of experience in generator excitation systems, high-current electrical systems, electrical panel design, power electronics, or relevant industrial power equipment.
  • •Proven AutoCAD or relevant CAD experience designing mechanical layouts for high-current electrical systems (typically 5,000 A to 10,000 A).
  • •Mandatory hands-on 3D design experience for equipment layout, bus work arrangement, fitment checks, clearances, routing, accessibility, and manufacturability validation.
  • •Strong capability to lead complete high-current bus work design with high accuracy (routing, dimensional control, creepage/clearance, thermal and short-circuit withstand requirements).
