Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform circuit card design lifecycle activities including requirements capture, schematic capture, design documentation, and signal integrity analysis.
  • •Create board stackup and routing instructions, coordinate and review printed wiring board layout, and generate test plans.
  • •Design, document, verify, support, test, and troubleshoot digital hardware for communication products using electrical engineering principles.
  • •Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop hardware designs meeting system performance and operational specifications.
  • •Support new product development and engineering/production test hardware including circuit card assemblies (CCAs), test fixtures, test interface adapters, and cabling.

Key Requirements

  • •Prior experience with schematic capture of electrical circuit designs and PCB layout using tools such as Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition, Altium, Cadence Allegro, EAGLE, or KiCad.
  • •Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • •Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
  • •Experience with digital electronics in electrical designs such as processors, FPGAs, high-speed transceivers, DDR, and flash memories.
  • •Experience with signal integrity/timing analysis tools (e.g., Hyperlynx or similar) to create robust circuit card designs.
