Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide deep data analytics to deliver insights that support decision-making on pricing and interchange regulatory engagement.
  • •Lead large and/or complex projects or work streams analyzing current performance, risks, and opportunities for business model sustainability and growth.
  • •Develop executive and regional (LAC) presentations, research insights, and thought leadership materials for top decision makers.
  • •Create Mastercard’s external position and narrative for engagements with customers, regulators, and policy makers at regional and national levels.
  • •Support the Business Model & Regulatory Engagement Director by identifying key issues, defining problem structures, evaluating options, and formulating action plans.

Key Requirements

  • •6-8 years of experience in regulatory engagement related to financial and economic topics in the payments or other industries.
  • •Analytical background in economics or finance, including understanding of economic literature related to 2-sided markets/platforms.
  • •Experience with financial/economic modeling (e.g., P&L projections, cost-benefit, ROI).
  • •Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to build alignment and influence without direct authority.
  • •Bachelor’s degree required (Masters or PhD in Economics highly desirable).
