Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws and safety regulations.
  • •Transport loads safely and on a required route in a timely manner, obeying all traffic laws.
  • •Maneuver the truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment when needed, and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain signed invoices, shipping paperwork (including bills of lading), and deliver documentation to the shipping office when the route is complete.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight, depending on state.
  • •Pass background and drug testing as required by federal/state DOT regulations, and pass a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills with professional, courteous communication with customers and staff.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and remain focused in a busy environment.
