Job Summary

Fabricate and assemble prototype electrical hardware by translating engineering drawings, schematics, and 3D models into producible equipment. Co-develop electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies, perform verification, troubleshooting, testing, and prove-in of prototype systems, and provide critical input during drawing peer reviews. Evaluate designs for producibility, safety, reliability, and maintainability, including quick-turn basic circuits and harnesses. May work in SCIF environments and requires an active Secret clearance prior to start.

Key Responsibilities

•Fabricate electrical hardware from drawings, schematics, 3D models, written notes, and verbal instruction.
•Co-develop electronic, electro-optical, electro-mechanical, and mechanical assemblies.
•Verify, troubleshoot, analyze, and perform testing/adjustment/verification/prove-in of prototype electronic equipment.
•Translate engineering design specifications into producible prototypes by providing input during electrical/mechanical drawing peer reviews.
•Assess designs for producibility, maintainability, safety, and reliability; fabricate basic circuits and harnesses for quick-turn requirements (may work in SCIF).

Key Requirements

•HS Diploma or AS/AA degree (or other two-year post-high-school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
•4+ years fabricating and testing electrical assemblies in two or more areas such as cables, wire harnesses, breakout boxes, or chassis.
•Experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
•Ability to fabricate electrical layouts and perform electrical construction, modification, testing, adjustment, verification, and prove-in of prototype electronic equipment.
•Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance required prior to start date (ability to obtain INTERIM Secret required prior to start date).
