Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the technical delivery of complex structural engineering challenges, including commercial and resourcing aspects, while working without supervision.
  • •Provide technical leadership to develop the structural engineering team through client relationship management and business development.
  • •Prepare technical reports that clearly convey complex structural engineering concepts to clients and stakeholders.
  • •Perform independent technical reviews and quality control reviews of others’ work.
  • •Mentor and coach others, participate in technical proposals, and estimate engineering budgets and schedules for large projects.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate Civil or Structural Engineering discipline.
  • •Proven ability in structural design using structural materials including steel and reinforced concrete.
  • •Experience in the analysis and design of seismically qualified structures.
  • •Knowledge of safety case interface within the nuclear sector and experience delivering projects within the defence sector.
  • •Ability to undertake structural design using current British Standards and Eurocodes and interpret finite element results into practical engineering solutions.
