Key Responsibilities

  • •Establish and maintain the Android/iOS engineering community across the Mobile Foundation and Channel Transformation.
  • •Lead and govern adoption of the “HSBC way” engineering definition for Android/iOS mobile apps.
  • •Design, maintain, and improve CI/CD tools and build pipelines for mobile engineering.
  • •Collaborate with technical leaders and product owners on engineering strategy, code standards, roadmaps, and requirements gathering.
  • •Attract, onboard, and retain diverse talent; advocate modern development practices; mentor engineers and participate in mobile engineering discipline communities.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience as a Senior Android/iOS Engineer in a large-scale mobile engineering environment.
  • •Demonstrated leadership capability.
  • •Experience mentoring junior engineers and delivering technical show & tells.
  • •Track record of fostering an engineering culture in an agile and DevOps environment.
  • •Experience enabling Android/iOS engineers to develop productively and with high quality, including collaborating across multiple engineering centers.
