Key Responsibilities

  • •Own thermal management and the thermal energy budget of the Power Conversion System and close the loop with cycle performance on parasitic losses.
  • •Develop heat rejection and cold-sink architecture, including sizing and integrating the recuperator against site and ambient conditions.
  • •Define the thermal configuration (insulation selection/design, heat-loss budget, surface temperatures, instrumentation, and personnel protection).
  • •Manage thermal interfaces and thermal transient requirements across major PCS components, reactor, and safety systems.
  • •Support test rig and instrumentation placement, correlate models with collected data, and use findings to improve component life and performance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 115,000 - 185,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Nuclear, or a related engineering discipline.
  • •Or 5+ years of experience for a Senior Engineer role, including hands-on analysis, hardware design, build, and test.
  • •Experience performing thermal analysis (hand calculations and FEA/CFD) to size, configure, or qualify hardware.
  • •Experience designing thermal management hardware for high-temperature systems, including insulation systems and heat-loss budgets.
  • •Experience correlating thermal predictions against test data and revising designs based on results.
