Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct advanced bridge and roadway construction inspection, including materials sampling, inspection, and testing.
  • •Lead complex inspections and supervise routine inspections performed by lower-level inspectors to ensure contract compliance.
  • •Perform contract administration tasks, including field measurements of pay items and required documentation, while maintaining detailed field records.
  • •Coordinate with contractors, design engineers, and project managers to identify and resolve construction issues and ensure schedule/specification adherence.
  • •Conduct safety inspections in coordination with project safety personnel to ensure compliance with OSHA and project-specific safety requirements.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma plus 6 years of experience (or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education).
  • •US citizenship is required for the nature of the work.
  • •Valid US Driver’s License and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records review to visit project sites and offices.
  • •Ability to read and comprehend bridge plans, bridge foundation investigation reports, contractor layouts, and related project documentation, including producing test pile and driving pile data.
  • •Thorough knowledge of specifications and standards and acceptable practices, materials, methods, and equipment used in bridge/highway construction.
