Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify emerging AI research and techniques worth pursuing and set the technical agenda for Fivetran AI’s roadmap.
  • •Prototype new ideas quickly, then ship the proven concepts as production-grade features.
  • •Define technical direction across Fivetran AI and collaborating departments by resolving architectural tradeoffs.
  • •Build and maintain back-end and front-end systems for the product, including Agents Schema pipelines and the Context Catalog UI.
  • •Own production reliability (on-call rotation, incident response, and SRE) and raise engineering quality through testing and QA.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of programming experience across Python and/or Java, with the ability to move between back-end and front-end work.
  • •Comfort reading AI/ML research and turning promising findings into working prototypes and production systems.
  • •Deep product and market awareness to judge which emerging techniques to build versus hype.
  • •Experience with SQL and data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar).
  • •A willingness to work across the full stack (research, backend, frontend, SRE, and QA) and mentor engineers.
