Key Responsibilities

  • •Install, splice, terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cable systems.
  • •Support aerial and underground outside plant construction activities.
  • •Read and interpret blueprints, splice diagrams, work prints, maps, and job specifications.
  • •Perform fiber testing using OTDR, power meters, light sources, and related test equipment.
  • •Maintain accurate records and follow safety, traffic control, OSHA, and company policies; coordinate with supervisors, customers, and inspectors, including emergency restoration support.

Key Requirements

  • •Active DoD Secret clearance.
  • •High School Diploma or GED.
  • •Active, unexpired DoD 8570.01-M certification (CompTIA Security+CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP) at hire or within 60 days.
  • •Knowledge of fiber optic cable installation, splicing, termination, and testing.
  • •Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to perform outdoor physical labor (including lifting up to 50 lbs.).
