  • •Underwrite new business presented by brokers for professional lines (E&O, D&O, Medical Malpractice).
  • •Achieve assigned monthly sales goals and produce from an existing broker following.
  • •Maintain the renewal book and underwrite/negotiate renewals.
  • •Manage the portfolio by monitoring broker results semi-annually and adjusting underlying portfolio performance.
  • •Ensure profitable risk selection, meet customer service standards, and report to senior management.

Key Requirements

  • •4-5 years of commercial property and casualty underwriting experience.
  • •Experience underwriting Medical Malpractice and professional lines (E&O, D&O, Medical Malpractice).
  • •RIBO/CIP/FCIP designation (or in progress) is an asset.
  • •Experience with financial management methods, underwriting, claims underwriting, and reinsurance costs.
  • •Demonstrated sales/marketing experience and strong interpersonal/communication skills.
