Job Summary

Verify aircraft components before, during, and after tests by detecting surface and subsurface defects such as cracks, scratches, porosity, overheating, and other anomalies. Prepare parts and perform fluorescent penetrant dye checks (black/white light), prepare chemical solutions and samples, and set up pressure/flow verification tests using templates and gauges. Evaluate nonconformities using quality documents and maintain required parameter records.

Key Responsibilities

•Visually inspect parts before, during, and after tests to identify defects and irregularities such as cracks, scratches, porosity, and overheating.
•Prepare parts for verification, including fluorescent penetrant treatment, rinsing, drying, and corrosion protection processes as required.
•Prepare or help prepare chemical solutions, collect samples, and drain tank basins as needed.
•During pressure and flow verification testing, make required adjustments and connections, use templates, mount parts, and set the manometer based on the specified pressure.
•Evaluate nonconformities using appropriate documents, prepare non-quality notices when needed, and perform the required system transactions while maintaining records of key parameters.

Key Requirements

•Maintain NDT accreditations (FPI, MPI, X-Ray, anodic acid etch, and anodized titanium) and/or complete relevant NDT training.
•NDT Level 2 certification in at least one of the listed techniques would be an asset.
•Experience in an industrial environment.
•Teamwork and a positive attitude.
•Basic English knowledge to understand specialized work instructions, drawings, and technical terms.
