Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide full breadth CYB counseling services to children and youth, including assessment, brief counseling, consultation, action planning, referrals, and follow-up.
  • •Deliver parent training and guidance, and provide training and health/wellness presentations/participate in health fairs and installation activities.
  • •Maintain required counselor activity reporting daily via smartphone or web application while protecting confidentiality/anonymity.
  • •Work with DoD installation and school/community points of contact to ensure scope alignment and to address behavioral health issues affecting children and youth.
  • •Manage duty to warn and restricted reporting situations per DoD protocol and participate in regular individual and group supervision, in-services, and quality improvement activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s Degree from an accredited graduate program in a mental health related field.
  • •Valid, unrestricted independent counseling license to provide counseling services as an independent practitioner (LCSW, LMFT, or LCMHC/LPC).
  • •Less than 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience.
  • •Intermediate-level technology skills (Microsoft Suite, smartphone/tablet and application navigation, video-conferencing platform navigation).
  • •Ability to prove U.S. citizenship and be fluent in English; pass NACI/IRC/background/FBI fingerprint checks as required.
