Job Summary

A senior leadership role responsible for steering Japan-based pharmaceutical development programs across the full lifecycle, from preclinical to lifecycle management (LCM). Key Responsibilities

•Lead the Japan-based program as the primary owner, clarifying goals, plans, decisions, and deliverables to ensure final accountability for success
•Set program direction and drive execution in alignment with global strategy, including development and lifecycle management strategies (CMC, preclinical, clinical, LCM)
•Oversee program planning, milestones, reviews, and continuous improvement via JPT leadership; manage cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing with APJ senior management
•Manage end-to-end development lifecycle from preclinical to lifecycle management, including cross-domain activities (CMC, Pharm/Tox, PK, clinical, regulatory, marketing)
•Oversee budgeting for programs and maximize team effectiveness by coordinating with cross-functional leaders and JPTLs

Key Requirements

•10+ years of pharmaceutical/drug development experience in medicine/biotech fields
•Experience leading programs including multiple clinical trials (CTN) and clinical trial operations, CSR/CTD preparation, J-NDA submissions, and PMDA consultations
•Led at least one development product with quality, excellence, and efficiency focus in a global, matrix organization
•Strong regulatory, scientific, and commercial landscape understanding with ability to adapt to changing environments
•Proven data analysis, judgment, collaboration with domestic/intl stakeholders, and ability to work cross-functionally to drive outcomes
