Job Summary

Join the European Online Safety Investigations team to lead regulatory enforcement and investigation strategy with European and national regulators. Advise internal stakeholders on online safety and content enforcement matters, with a focus on the Digital Services Act and Online Safety Act across the EU and UK. Support governance and enforcement policy programs while managing fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional investigations and advising on implementation of new laws and regulatory disputes.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead regulatory enforcement and investigations strategy and execution for digital safety rules and regulations with European and national regulators.
•Support digital regulatory matters, focused on enforcement processes under the Digital Services Act, Online Safety Act, and other emerging EU/UK regulations for online safety and content regulation.
•Collaborate with and advise internal stakeholders on regulatory online safety and content enforcement matters.
•Support online safety and content regulation governance and enforcement policy programs.
•Engage with regulators and ensure proactive alignment with fast-changing laws across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Requirements

•Significant post-qualification experience in a regulatory legal compliance role, either in a well-regarded private practice team or an established in-house function.
•Background in consumer-facing tech and/or digital media, or a strong understanding gained through private practice.
•Experience advising on laws relating to user generated content, including the Digital Services Act (EU) and Online Safety Act (UK).
•Ability to manage many high-profile, fast-paced, multi-jurisdictional regulatory investigations and navigate ambiguous legal and regulatory environments.
•Previous experience advising on practical implementation of new laws and/or regulatory dispute matters.
