Job Summary

Senior Structural Engineer in WSP USA's Transportation Facilities Group based in New York, NY. Key Responsibilities

•Lead engineering staff on various task assignments.
•Develop structural design details, drawings and specifications, including calculations for new designs, rehabilitation and renovation work.
•Develop drawings in REVIT (BIM), AutoCAD, MicroStation and Open Building.
•Utilize structural software such as STAADPro, RAM Structural System, SAP2000, ETABS and SAFE (or equivalent).
•Lead field inspection teams for evaluation of structural systems of existing buildings and coordinate with other disciplines and architects in the development of design contract documents.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on structural engineering, or equivalent; Master’s degree highly preferred
•5 to 7 years of post-education experience in engineering with prior structural design experience for transportation projects
•Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in NY/NJ or able to obtain NY license within 1 year
•Knowledgeable in state and city building codes and industry standards (IBC, ACI 318, AISC 360); experience with construction documents
•Proficiency with STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, SAFE; AutoCAD and REVIT; MicroStation and Open Building is a plus
