Key Responsibilities

•Own and architect Anduril’s discrete event simulation and operations-research capability as a long-lived, foundational asset for maintainability and extensibility.
•Capture processes and decision logic into validated digital twins that model capacity and constraints and support planning and investment trade-offs.
•Design data pipelines to keep models current using live production data (cycle times, yields, routings, downtime, WIP, labor).
•Select and apply appropriate modeling methods (capacity analysis, discrete event simulation, Monte Carlo, regression, and optimization) and justify approach fit.
•Lead high-stakes simulation studies (capacity, NPI ramp, ROI/capital investment, line balancing/flow optimization, and scenario planning) and mentor engineers to raise organizational practice.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 annually

Key Requirements

•6+ years building simulation and/or operations-research models that drive real operational or capital decisions in manufacturing.
•Expertise in discrete event simulation software (e.g., Siemens Tecnomatix Plant Simulation, Simio, FlexSim, AnyLogic, Arena, ProModel, SimPy) and core statistics (distributions, variance reduction, warm-up, replications).
•Hands-on with capacity/bottleneck analysis, Monte Carlo, regression, and mathematical optimization (linear/integer programming), with judgment on stochastic vs. deterministic modeling.
•Strong programming skills in Python and SQL for data pipelines, custom models, and reproducible analysis on large datasets.
•Ability to read technical documentation (facility/assembly drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing procedures).
