Job Summary

Support low-voltage electrical design and consultancy across a range of UK infrastructure projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Work on EV infrastructure feasibility, renewable generation and energy storage designs, urban realm and regeneration schemes, and highway electrical design/technical assurance. Assist experienced engineers with compliant, buildable solutions—creating calculations, drawings, reports, and documentation, and contributing to reviews, meetings, workshops, site visits, and bid support.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist in delivering safe, compliant, buildable low-voltage electrical design solutions under guidance.
•Prepare calculations, drawings, reports, and technical documentation for engineering projects.
•Support feasibility studies, design development, and technical assurance activities across EV, transportation, and energy-related projects.
•Participate in design reviews, quality assurance, and compliance checks against relevant standards and client requirements.
•Join project meetings, workshops, and site visits; record actions and coordinate with colleagues from other disciplines.

Key Requirements

•A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
•Interest in low-voltage electrical systems and infrastructure projects.
•Some experience of electrical design, engineering consultancy, construction, maintenance, or technical assurance (employment, placements, or internships).
•Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
•Working towards professional registration with the Engineering Council (IEng or CEng) and membership of a relevant professional institution.
