Job Summary

Lead UX/UI design for complex, content-rich websites in a hands-on, project-based contract role. Drive discovery through interviews, audits, and research synthesis, then translate insights into information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and polished visual designs. Serve as a senior creative voice in pre-sales, proposals, and thought leadership, collaborating with internal teams and clients while managing work remotely and coordinating in Pacific Time hours.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead project discovery, including interest-holder interviews, synthesizing research/client input into actionable design direction, and formulating recommendations balancing user and business goals.
•Develop information architecture and content strategy, including sitemap/navigation strategy, content audits and gap analysis, and defining tone/voice/taxonomies.
•Produce UX and visual design artifacts such as wireframes, page templates, interactive prototypes, full-fidelity comps, and UI component libraries/responsive design systems.
•Present work clearly to clients and internal teams, explaining the thinking behind recommendations and empowering confident decisions.
•Act as a senior creative voice in sales and marketing by contributing to proposals/scopes and supporting thought leadership (webinars, blog posts, case studies, educational content).

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 50 - 70 hourly

•Senior-level, hands-on UX/UI design experience for complex, content-rich websites with a portfolio spanning discovery/strategy to high-fidelity visual design.
•Strong visual design craft (layout, typography, hierarchy, brand application, responsive design, accessible UI patterns).
•Advanced Figma skills, including prototyping and design systems/component workflows with client-ready presentation files.
•Advanced knowledge of UX strategy, content strategy, information architecture, and content experience principles.
•Demonstrated experience in a creative agency environment with strong communication across designers, developers, and clients.
