Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide courageous safety leadership and ensure maintenance activities meet Teck standards, the BC Mines Act, environmental requirements, and site procedures.
  • •Lead, coach, and develop Maintenance Supervisors by setting expectations, managing performance, and building leadership capability.
  • •Lead skilled trades teams across maintenance crews, fostering a safe, respectful, accountable, high-performing work environment.
  • •Drive safe and effective execution of maintenance activities across the mine’s mobile equipment fleet to support availability, reliability, and production requirements.
  • •Coordinate maintenance priorities with Mine Operations, Planning, Engineering, Reliability, and other site functions; support budgeting and labour relations compliance.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 122,000 - 151,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Valid BC Mine Shiftboss – Open Pit Certificate is required.
  • •Class 5 Driver’s License (or equivalent).
  • •Minimum 7 years of progressive operational and leadership experience, including leading Maintenance Supervisors and large skilled trades teams.
  • •Experience leading mobile/heavy equipment maintenance operations in mining, oil and gas, heavy industrial, construction, or similarly complex environments.
  • •Strong knowledge of maintenance execution, equipment reliability, safety systems, risk management, and applicable regulatory requirements.
