Key Responsibilities

  • •Own Java development across CDRO’s REST API, pipeline execution engine, and persistence layer.
  • •Continuously reduce complexity by modernizing subsystems, improving test coverage, and shrinking product surface area where appropriate.
  • •Use Claude Code as a normal part of your workflow to move faster without skipping thought.
  • •Write unit and integration tests to validate behavior and enable shift-left quality.
  • •Document what you build for an async, distributed team to reduce single points of failure.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong production Java experience working in codebases that matter if they break.
  • •Relational database experience with SQL plus JPA/Hibernate and schema migrations (Oracle or PostgreSQL is a plus).
  • •Ability to navigate large, mature, unfamiliar codebases by forming hypotheses and testing while staying functional.
  • •Testing discipline: write unit and integration tests as part of the work.
  • •Clear, honest communication in an async, distributed environment.
