Key Responsibilities

  • •Work closely with a team focused on specific transactions, products, or business sectors and collaborate with banking teams across the globe.
  • •Support live deals and contribute to work that helps transactions happen in real time.
  • •Assist with researching market conditions and creating client materials such as investment memos, management presentations, and pitchbooks.
  • •Learn to read financial statements and conduct research and credit analysis to contribute to internal insights and client-facing materials.
  • •Build financial models to value businesses, analyze M&A, and assess financing, using techniques such as discounted cash flow and leveraged buyouts.

Key Requirements

  • •Be available to work full time from July 2027 onwards.
  • •Be a recent graduate with less than 2 years’ full-time work experience, or be due to graduate by July 2027.
  • •Have obtained, or expect to achieve, a minimum GPA of 4.0/5.0 or 3.2/4.0 (or overseas equivalent).
  • •Be fluent in English and Mandarin.
  • •Be legally permitted to work in mainland China for the full duration of the graduate programme and beyond without requiring HSBC visa sponsorship.
