Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise the client on cost management strategies and support bid processes, including prequalification, bid reviews, bid leveling documents, and recommendations.
  • •Develop and review project estimates (construction, fees, direct work, and other costs), present estimates, and provide value engineering recommendations and risk assessments.
  • •Establish and manage cost reporting and forecasting, including budget/spend forecasts, maintaining a commercial risk register, and facilitating periodic meetings with the project team and vendors.
  • •Manage cost control activities such as payment application assessments, contractor entitlements recommendations, change order reviews, and dispute prevention/management/resolution.
  • •Lead final accounting through post-contract audits, account closeouts, lesson learned documentation, and procedures for project handover.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
  • •3-5 years of relevant cost management experience in the construction industry.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it is valuable.
  • •Experience supporting cost management on medium or large-sized construction projects.
  • •Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
