Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to school vision and develop departmental strategy, policies, and short-, medium-, and long-term plans for the Arabic department.
  • •Create and lead a vision for innovative learning experiences; ensure curriculum coverage, standards of teaching, and progression for diverse learners.
  • •Manage and performance-manage the Arabic First and Second Language team, lead faculty meetings, and build effective collaborative relationships.
  • •Lead organization of International Benchmark Assessments; collect and analyze departmental data and oversee Monitoring, Evaluation and Review processes.
  • •Deliver cultural initiatives (including Ramadan events), organize resources and staffing, manage departmental budget, and provide tutoring and targeted support for Emirati students.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in a related subject with PGCE or an equivalent teacher qualification.
  • •Masters in Arabic Language or education is preferred.
  • •5 years teaching experience.
  • •Desirable to have some leadership experience.
  • •Ability to develop schemes of work and lead departmental planning and assessment responsibilities.
