Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and oversee the mortgage servicing regulatory compliance program to ensure federal/state and internal compliance.
  • •Lead compliance reviews of external Servicing QC vendors and sub-servicers, including tracking actionable items to timely resolution.
  • •Assess sub-servicer compliance with applicable statutes (e.g., RESPA, ECOA, TCPA, FDCPA) and manage monthly/quarterly/annual test plans.
  • •Identify discrepancies and opportunities for process improvement using audit findings, management reports, and servicer discussions; prepare management reporting and metrics data.
  • •Create and maintain compliance and auditing policies/procedures, evaluate servicer performance (e.g., scorecards and findings trend analysis), and maintain department risks and controls (RCI).

Key Requirements

  • •9+ years of related experience in Regulatory Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, or similar fields.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in a related field (required).
  • •Previous leadership experience (required).
  • •Advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations for mortgage servicing and industry standards.
  • •Intermediate to advanced understanding of mortgage loan servicing life-events (e.g., collections, loss mitigation, foreclosure, bankruptcy, claims, servicing transfers, ARMs, escrows, payment processing, payoffs).
