Key Responsibilities

  • •Install and document new or updated inside-plant cable infrastructure, including conduit, cable trays, copper, coax, fiber, and associated elements.
  • •Support move/add/change activities for copper cabling infrastructure, VoIP networks, and fiber optic cabling infrastructure.
  • •Install, maintain, and repair voice and data communications systems.
  • •Test, locate, and repair cabling infrastructure for trouble calls; verify service and correct or escalate problems.
  • •Maintain and update network documentation by labeling/routing cables and tracking/removing abandoned cable while meeting safety standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s Degree and a minimum of 3 years of related experience (or additional 2 years of related technical experience in lieu of degree).
  • •Active Top Secret security clearance required.
  • •Familiarity with BICSI rules, regulations, and standards.
  • •Ability to communicate effectively across expertise levels with strong customer support skills and high attention to detail.
  • •Experience with cabling installation/testing/repair, including CAT6, coax, fiber, and cabling test equipment.
