Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and implement APIs, services, and data pipelines powering the Curie platform with reliability and performance focus.
  • •Build and maintain integrations between AI models, scientific tools, and internal workflows.
  • •Own backend feature lifecycle from design through deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
  • •Write well-tested, maintainable code and drive engineering quality via reviews, documentation, and technical discussions.
  • •Improve observability, reliability, and performance by instrumenting, monitoring, and optimizing systems.

Key Requirements

  • •Backend engineering experience with strong programming skills.
  • •Proven production experience designing, building, and operating backend systems (e.g., APIs, data pipelines, event-driven architectures).
  • •Strong fundamentals in at least one backend language (Python, Go, Rust, or Java/Kotlin) with comfort across the stack when needed.
  • •Experience with databases (relational and/or graph), message queues, caching layers, and cloud infrastructure.
  • •Ability to debug complex distributed systems and reason about system design, data modelling, and engineering trade-offs.
