Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced CEI Senior Building Inspector to join our Transportation Construction Engineering and Inspection team in Tampa, Florida. You will lead field inspections, interpret complex drawings, ensure compliance with codes and contract documents, coordinate with contractors, and mentor junior staff on inspection methods and quality assurance on bridge and roadway construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform daily field inspections and maintain inspection records, ensuring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements
•Review and interpret complex construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to support project delivery
•Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project compliance and timely resolution of issues
•Participate in punch lists, testing, and commissioning, and track quality assurance progress
•Provide input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers and provide expert advice on construction methods and materials

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 32 - 48 hourly

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma plus 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
•US Citizenship is required, due to the nature of the work
•Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices

•Four (4) years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction
