Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform detailed assembly and disassembly of foreign and domestic small arms, including inspection, maintenance, and major repairs.
  • •Use hand tools and gauges, and operate gun-smiting machinery such as lathes, milling machines, and surface grinders.
  • •Establish shop safety procedures for a small arms environment and support shop functions (e.g., bead blasting and preparing metal parts).
  • •Support operations including ammo inventory and residue turn-in, publication and catalogue updates, and tool and capital equipment maintenance.
  • •Apply knowledge of firearms operating principles and ballistics to fabricate special jigs, fixtures, and special tooling, and perform weapons cleaning and organizational-level weapons maintenance.

Salary: USD 22.84 hourly

Key Requirements

  • •Complete the 92Y Unit Armorer Certification Course: 551-F29 (MTT-A/G) or equivalent civilian training.
  • •4+ years of experience working as a military Unit Armorer.
  • •Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • •Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation result and obtain/maintain a CAC.
  • •Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and background screening.
