Lead the frontend architecture and execution for Flock’s core Search features, optimizing high-traffic, data-heavy experiences. Partner with product, design, and backend teams to turn research and mocks into production-grade UI, including map-based geospatial visualizations. Drive frontend engineering standards, perform code reviews, and monitor performance, state management, and data retrieval across a React, TypeScript, and Node web stack.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the architectural evolution and frontend execution for core Search features across a React, TypeScript, and Node web stack.
•Partner with product, design, and backend peers to translate user research and design mocks into performant user experiences.
•Build complex map-based data visualizations and geospatial interfaces for high-density location data.
•Champion frontend engineering standards, conduct code reviews, and elevate technical execution across the Search engineering team.
•Monitor and optimize client-side performance, state management, and data retrieval for high-traffic, data-heavy web applications.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 170,000 - 190,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Mastery of modern frontend web technologies and application design patterns using React and TypeScript.
•Experience building map-based data visualizations with Mapbox or the Google Maps API.
•Fullstack context with Node.js web services and API design concepts such as REST, GraphQL, or gRPC.
•Understanding of backend microservice interaction patterns and relational databases like PostgreSQL to collaborate with backend peers.
•Track record of resourceful problem-solving in ambiguous technical environments, with continuous learning.
